14 Shortest Celebrity Marriages of All Time

I recently rеаd аbоut thе troublesome marriage оf a football player whоѕе celebrity wіfе wаѕ lеаvіng hіm оvеr persistent infidelity. It саuѕеd quite thе brоuhаhа аѕ thеѕе celebrity mаrrіаgе problems inevitably do.

I think wе rеlу on thе marriages оf people in thе рublіс еуе to bе реrfесt because оf thе wау thеу are idolised. Thеrеfоrе, their mаrrіаgеѕ ѕhоuld fare better thаn those of mеrе mоrtаlѕ lіkе uѕ. It later еmеrgеd thаt the wife dіd nоt want tо lеаvе hеr huѕbаnd, but fеlt рrеѕѕurеd tо do so bу the fоrсе of рublіс оріnіоn.

Hеr оnlу wish was to bе thе perfect wife аnd mother. Clеаrlу she had drunk the Kооl Aіd оf рublіс оріnіоn аnd аѕѕumеd thаt thе реrfесt ‘аnуthіng’ is еvеn роѕѕіblе.

1. Britney Spears and Jason Alexander

It’s possible that this was the shortest one on record, and it lasted a glorious 55 hours. At what point the two of them realised it just wasn’t going to work is unclear, but alcohol played a significant part in their decision to marry. It’s also not known whether the marriage was consummated either.

2. Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman

While the marriage lasted longer than a few hours, enduring for 9 days, it was once again alcohol related. Who wouldn’t fallen in love with Carmen after watching her run along the beach in Baywatch wearing that delightful red bathing costume? Maybe Dennis had downed a few drinks and watched Baywatch. It would work for me.

3. Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon

Seeing we are talking about Baywatch it wouldn’t be right to miss mentioning Pammie who looked even better than Carmen in that red bathing costume. It’s not sure what Pam was watching when she picked Rick, but it’s general knowledge that he starred with Paris Hilton in that infamous sex tape.

Maybe Anderson wanted to try what Hilton had. The marriage lasted 60 days. It’s not sure whether this couple put out a video as well.

4. Lisa-Marie Presley and Nicholas Cage

Nick, in his filing for divorce, came up with the best, most honest reason for the dissolution of marriage. “We should never have got married in the first place!”

They stuck it out for 107 days, and that’s just over 3 months. Rumour has it that Lisa-Marie kept playing her dad’s songs non-stop 24/7 in the marital home. Cage has no soul.

5. Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock

It’s mathematically correct to say that Pamela loved Kid Rock twice as much as she did Rick Salomon as this marriage lasted 122 days. These two loved to party and basically have fun so it might have been a match made in heaven.

No big wedding dress for Anderson at the wedding, a white string bikini was considered fitting enough for the ceremony. She was fully dressed for the divorce!

6. Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

While not the shortest marriage on the books it was certainly one of the most lavish. It cost $10 million and formed part of a TV show called “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding.”

It went for two days of nauseating boredom and commercials. Kris was a basketballer, and Kim was a…a…actually not sure what she was or is. The fairytale wedding ended in a fairytale divorce and lasted for 72 days.

7. Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney

The marriage lasted 128 days which was a major surprise considering the two of them had very little in common. Kenny is a singer, the country crooner style, and Rene is an actress.

It was no surprise that Zellweger called it the biggest personal mistake of her life, but it’s not known what she meant by giving her reason as “fraud”. Was Kenny a fraud and couldn’t actually sing?

8. Zsa Zsa Gabor and Felipe DeAlba

Zsa Zsa had been married about a dozen times which puts paid to the theory that you can learn from experience. In this case, her marriage to Felipe lasted only 1 day.

The reason for the speedy end of the marriage was given to be that Gabor had not officially been granted a divorce from her previous husband, who of course was still her present husband, as was Felipe. Bigamy never got a mention.

9. Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds

This union lasted just 14 days. Eddie and Tracy vowed to love each other in sickness and in health till death do us part in a non-binding wedding ceremony, promising to have a big party and a proper wedding later. 14 days is a long time in celebrity land.

10. Axl Rose and Erin Everly

Erin is the daughter of one of the Everly Brothers, and Axl Rose is a rocker. These two actually got married twice with the first wedding being in Vegas, of course, and lasting just 26 days.

After annulling this union, they decided to get married again, and the marriage lasted 9 months. If you are trying to find any sense in this, stop looking. There isn’t any!

11. Charlie Sheen and Donna Peele

Charlie is not renown for getting married so Donna might have thought herself pretty lucky. The marriage lasted 4 months and Donna was lucky, she got to leave Charlie and allow him to live his normal lifestyle.

12. Drew Barrymore and Tom Green

At least these two were seeing each other and dating for 18 months before getting hitched. That part of it was normal in a relationship but during that time didn’t they figure out that they were not suited for each other? Guess not, because 6 months after they got married, they were divorced.

13. Cris Judd and Jennifer Lopez

The best news for all the guys that like to ogle J-Lo was that she divorced Cris Judd after 7 months and was available again. Jennifer loves her relationships with men, and it was surprising that she allowed this one with Judd to end in marriage. So unlike her! But everything is well with the world, and she is once again available fellas!

14. Ernest Borgnine and Ethel Merman

Okay, we are taking you back in the time of Hollywood history with these two, but when the world was still a bit old fashioned, a 32-day marriage was certainly going to get the headlines.

It’s hard to imagine these two getting on with their vastly different personalities so the 32 day period should be admired rather than laughed at!

There’s no doubt that the lives of celebrities differ significantly from that of ordinary people. You can be forgiven to think that they live with different laws and morals. Strangely enough, we all seem to find this quite acceptable behaviour.
